A little history about IRTC and why we are unique….

IRTC was founded by Laura Cross, LMFT. Laura spent the first 22 years of her post-college career working in sales and marketing in corporate America. When she changed fields and began to build her practice as a therapist in 2013, she quickly experienced the isolation and loneliness that accompanies private practice. Within two years, she began forming IRTC based on her vision of creating a practice grounded in a sense of community. She sought to create an environment where licensed and pre-licensed therapists can focus on providing exceptional client care while also learning and growing through daily interactions with other therapists in the office. She believes we all thrive when we have a sense of belonging in our community and she works hard to ensure all IRTC therapists feel like they are an important part of this one.

IRTC has grown into our team of 9 therapists by hiring exclusively pre-licensed clinicians who were working towards licensure and seeking to discover (and create) the unique parts of themselves that thrive as a therapist. We are well experienced in supporting 'new' therapists as they begin the important and vulnerable journey of post-graduate work as a therapist, working under supervision. We work collaboratively to encourage each other as we all seek professional growth and personal development, and celebrate each other's ongoing achievements (licensure, EFT certification, learning other models such as AEDP, IFS, EMDR).

Our therapy office dog, Reason, seems to really know how to respect boundaries when he comes to work. If you are a dog lover, he’ll happily visit you in your office. If not, he’ll greet you from afar.

IRTC Celebrates 10 years!

IRTC recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We invited our current team of therapists, those who are no longer on our team but played an important role in our history, and our closest family and friends to celebrate this important milestone. We sincerely enjoy being together for big and small celebrations!
