A LITTLE BIT ABOUT Cassie

Originally from the chilly state of Minnesota, I moved to Colorado in 2020 after enjoying a road trip through the colorful state and absolutely falling in love with all that Colorado has to offer. Upon moving, I quickly found myself enjoying hobbies I had never thought would be a part of my daily life; hiking, skiing, camping, yoga, and generally just enjoying every ounce of sunshine I can soak up. On the chillier days, you can find me reading a good book, embroidering a silly design, and spending time with my partner and our dog Emma.

Why I chose a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist

With my own parents’ divorce as a young teen and the tumultuous family dynamics that followed, I found myself resistant and reluctant to accept help, care, or love for the emotional distress I was experiencing. When I finally reached out for support through a therapist, I found safety and security in being open and vulnerable, something that I had forgotten existed, and was reminded of the power and ultimate freedom that lies in being seen, understood, and accepted. This inspired me to pursue a career where I could offer similar support to others, guiding me to become a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFTC). Now, I'm committed to creating a secure space for clients to explore how they experience themselves, their relationships, and their position in the world. My own journey of exploring my position within my family relationships strongly influences my commitment to ensuring the space I create for others allows them to find freedom and power in accepting support, and having the experience of being truly seen.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
