Emotionally Focused Therapist Position

This is a full time employment (W2) position which includes 20+ client hours a week, with additional time dedicated to the tasks associated with client care (notes, case planning etc). We are a team of Emotionally Focused Therapist therefore we are specifically seeking a therapist who is either already trained in EFT OR eager to begin the EFT training process.

The ideal candidate will be either fully trained/certified in EFT, enrolled in EFT Externship and/or Core Skills, or has the sincere intention to do so. We understand that EFT trainings are expensive. Please don’t let this requirement prevent you from applying should the training be cost prohibitive for you. We can talk through this during the interview process.

Our practice provides primarily in-person services. We are committed to cultivating and supporting a diverse team and encourage LGBTQIA+ therapists and therapists of color to apply. The specific work schedule can be collaboratively determined however it will likely require a combination of evenings and part of Saturday.

Professional Requirements:

  • A Master's degree from a systemically focused therapy program, ideally an MFT/CFT program

  • Colorado Licensure (preferred) or pre-licensure status

  • Enrollment in, completion of, or plan to enroll in EFT Externship and/or Core Skills (or the sincere intention to do so). We understand that EFT trainings are expensive.   • Experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients

  • Awareness of ethical concerns and considerations and the ability to handle them appropriately (i.e. mandated reporting)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

  • An affirming and empathic approach to working with clients of all backgrounds and orientations, and non-traditional relationships

Clinical Responsibilities for the EFT Therapist Position:

  • Provide individual and relationship therapy services to couples, individuals, families and relationships with non-traditional structures

  • Use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients identify and address the underlying emotions that impact their life/relationship

  • Create a safe and inclusive environment for all clients

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients improve communication, deepen intimacy, and enhance their overall life and relationship satisfaction

  • Participate in regular supervision and monthly team meetings to ensure quality care and continued growth as a therapist

  • Attend ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions
